چکیده
Background: Preliminary studies have shown that electrical source imaging (ESI) has numerous advantages for the pre-surgical evaluation of epileptic patients. However, role ESI children with non-lesional drug resistance in focal epilepsy been poorly characterized. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate this issue according interictal epileptiform discharges (IEDs) and constraints developing countries. Methods: The present used long-term video electroencephalography (EEG) monitoring (LTM) data were recorded using standard 19 scalp electrodes (10 - 20 system) 3 tesla T1 image data. Accordingly, first, IEDs clustered then assessed by an epileptologist. Afterward, some operations conducted included EEG inverse problem solving three known methods, namely brain analysis (BESA) individual head model, cortical classical LORETA recursively (CLARA) BESA age template model. Seven processed project. Results: In most cases (n = 5, 71%), seizure onset zone (SOZ) was same LTM report proposed methodology. Moreover, succeeded localizing region predicted SOZ. Conclusions: According limitations a country, configuration multi-modal (e.g., 3T magnetic resonance imaging, LTM, ESI) specific valuable protocol, investigation defined pilot 7 sample first step. These findings, based on small size, suggest combining ensemble methods improves information drug-resistant epilepsy. It is hoped future large sizes show countries more than before.

Vigabatrin-Induced Generalized Epileptiform Discharges in a Patient with Focal Epilepsy
Vigabatrin (VGB) may aggravate clinical seizures and epileptiform discharges especially in the patients with generalized epilepsy. This report is about the repetitive appearance of generalized spike-and-wave complexes in a patient with focal epilepsy. Though there were constant appearances of the generalized epileptiform discharges on the consecutive electroencephalograms (EEGs) taken over appr...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE There are reports of successful resective epilepsy surgery for pediatric patients with epilepsy and generalized epileptiform discharges when they had focal epileptogenic lesions identified by MRI. However, there is limited information regarding adult patients with epilepsy who have both generalized epileptiform discharges and focal epileptogenic lesions. METHODS To inve...

Introduction: Transforming Growth Factor-Beta 1 (TGF-β1) is a pleiotropic cytokine with potent anti-inflammatory property, which has been considered as an essential risk factor in the inflammatory process of Ischemic Stroke (IS), by involving in the pathophysiological progression of hypertension, atherosclerosis, and lipid metabolisms. -509C/T TGF-β1 gene polymorphism&n...
متن کاملImpact of focal interictal epileptiform discharges on behaviour and cognition in children.
It is hypothesised that focal interictal epileptiform discharges (IED) may exert a deleterious effect on behaviour and cognition in children. This hypothesis is supported by the abnormally high prevalence of IED in several developmental disorders, like specific language impairment, and of cognitive and behavioural deficits in epileptic children after excluding confounding factors such as underl...
متن کاملAutomatic Identification of Interictal Epileptiform Discharges in Secondary Generalized Epilepsy
Ictal epileptiform discharges (EDs) are characteristic signal patterns of scalp electroencephalogram (EEG) or intracranial EEG (iEEG) recorded from patients with epilepsy, which assist with the diagnosis and characterization of various types of epilepsy. The EEG signal, however, is often recorded from patients with epilepsy for a long period of time, and thus detection and identification of EDs...
